Good morning everyone.
It looks to be a pretty day in Michigan.
I am getting new carpet put down today!!   My house is in chaos but boy am i getting some cleaning done!   washed all the walls yesterday,   Have the curtains down and washing them  and will bring them to the commerical laundry to dry in the big dryers.  I am gonna vac all the corners and such up above to get rid of the lovely  spider webs and such.     Such an exciting day!!!   I should also  cook hubby a decent dinner as I ha vent cooked in a week.  Have a young foster girl here wanting to learn cooking so maybe we will do a casserole she thinks looks good.
Hope everyone is doing well and having a great day!!!

Packing, packing and more packing!  Between my DH's growling about the number of books I insist cannot be given away and my 5 sets of dishes, life is a bit stressful.  I'm newsprint from top to bottom, rolling up cups and saucers for packing.  I finally got smart and put on my rubber glovers; all that paper was giving me dry cracked hands.  Anyway, we've filled one POD and await the 2nd one so we can fill it and move into a motel room for a night.  Hopefully, we're outta here by Saturday.  I got an email last night asking if the new owners can doa walk-thru this afternoon.  Sure, if they don't mind crawling over and around stacks of boxes and floating newspapers.  I will fight my urge to clean the place up and just carry on with the packin tasks at hand.  Funny, isn't it?  I'm concerned about cleaning the house before people come thru...rather a throwback from Mom's training I guess.
Hope y'all have a lovely day.

Good morning, apparently the storms made it to Texas too.  It's dark and rainy here so of course my dogs don't want to go outside to potty.  How is it that they all swim, but don't want to get rain water on their paws?  Got to love 'em.

My plan for today is to make homemade spaghetti sauce.  I usually make 2 roasting pans full at a time and freeze it.  One will have meat in the sauce, the other marinara.  We love Italian food plus DD takes stuff like that to her apartment to use while at college.  I grew my own fresh herbs this year so it will be fun finally getting to use them.

I really enjoyed getting to learn so much about you guys yesterday.  Hope no one thinks I was trying to "take over," I'd just like to actively participate in this board.  What an interesting group of women (and George) you are, it's a pleasure to meet you all.

Wait until you meet Marc, and then there's Nick....  That's all the men I can think of at the moment.
My dogs run out the doggy door when it rains, thunders, lightenings.  They run out barking and trying to get what's making that noise, then they come in soaking.  But, they're terriers, so what can I expect.
I loved your post yesterday, I think everyone enjoyed it.

Good morning Susan and everyone.....

I am having another extremely busy work morning so I can't chat long.

All is well with me and mine. Jamie, Nic and Gracie will arrive in Memphis some time this afternoon. They only drove part of the way yesterday. That is too long a trip for everyone...especially Gracie to be entertained for that long.

It was storming here earlier this morning but now the sun is shining brightly....could be a beautiful day after all.

I am walking pretty well with my cane. If I feel comfortable I can get rid of it  by the end of the week or so. Still alittle pain off and on so I am taking it slow.

I wish everyone a wonderful day!!

Share a smile or two with a stranger along the way today!!

Prayers to those in need.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Just make sure to take it slow Connie.  You don't want to fall and reinjure yourself now.  Listen to the pot calling the kettle black.  Well, you know how it is...

I love to smile at strangers - it keeps them wondering.

The other day I was at Kroger grocery shopping.  I had my purse 'seatbelted' in the child seat.  A little old man tapped me on the shoulder and said "I should spank you" wow, what an offer.  I looked at him a bit shocked, and he said "you turned your back on your purse"  I told him to try to take it, it's attached to the cart.  he then said OK, I guess I don't get to spank you.  We had a good laugh and went along our way.

Yesterday hubby stopped at 7-11 for coffee.  He pulled up to a car already parked and when he got out he noticed a purse on the passenger side seat, window open and the purse was open with the wallet right on top.  Just then (before Gary could grab it) a cop pulled in and Gary called him over and said "You need to go in and talk to this woman.  Look here"  The cop looked in and just shook his head and said "I don't know what's the matter with people.  If someone had taken this she would have said  I don't know why anyone would take my purse"  he headed inside and confronted the gal.  Gary did his good deed for the day, (by default)
Just kidding, my Gary is a great guy.

Good morning Susan and OFF friends,

I can't believe it's afternoon already, so I'm late - lol   I've been working all morning and just took a break.  I contacted my insurance company yesterday to see if they received my paperwork yet, and they haven't.  Great news, though, once they have the paperwork, she said it only takes 2 days for approval.  My gosh, time is moving so quickly.

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Good Morning Susan and Friends,

Just a quick fly by as I'm on my way out the door. It's a bit after 8am and already over 85. . . Continuous sunshine and scorching temps the rest of the week. Hyroplane races on the Columbia River this weekend. Should be great for the tans!

I'm heading out of town before the crowd**** Heading to the beach to check out beach houses for us for a few days in August. Mike's headed to Montana with our son for a few days to visit Mike's brother. Maggie's going with me. She loves the beach.

I'm taking my tent and plan to spend Saturday night in a state park right on the beach. I always stay close to the "attendants" and Maggie is a great guard dog. Well, at least she makes a lot of noise!

Sunday morning I'll head to Erin's just about 1.5 hours from where I'll be. Josh is taking his team to football camp so I get to hang out with the girls til Thursday. Really must get going. Hard enough to get in the door of the gym; darn near impossible when it gets much hotter! Have a good one everyone.

Karen C
